  • Easy manure separation
  • Stackable manure
  • Dry matter content: 20–28%
  • 20% more storage space
  • Want to turn organic manure into mineral fertiliser? To start with, you need to separate the manure. With the Torro separator, you can quickly and easily separate the manure stored in the manure pit or any other manure storage space.

Description

Torro (biobedding)

With a dry matter percentage of up to 38%, the Torro, like the Bronto is perfect for farms that want to use the solid fraction as biobedding. Using biobedding allows you to save on litter costs, and improves comfort for cows.

Biobedding requires an end product with a minimum 35% dry matter that remains loose, does not compact quickly and does not harden in the boxes. A screw press filter, such as the Torro and Bronto, is the most suitable solution. The separator is a separator with a vertical position suitable for use on farms and small biogas plants.

Benefits

What can the Torro do:

  • Comfortable for cows
  • Dry matter percentage to 38%
  • More efficient spreading of liquid manure
  • Turnkey
  • Optional shredder
  • Suspended auger means reduced wear
  • Low energy consumption: only one motor that propels both the pump and the separator

Note that it is important to prevent fermentation in biobedding. Spreading the fresh thick fraction in layers prevents fermentation.

If the Torro is combined with the Gazoo nitrogen cracker , the thin fraction is pumped to the Gazoo where the next stage of the transformation process takes place. Not using a Gazoo? In that case, the thin fraction will be returned to the manure pit or stored in another manure storage area for later spreading.

Technology Torro

The Torro is a user-friendly separator that, with a processing speed of 2 – 4 m3 per hour, can easily handle 350 – 500 cows. Its stainless-steel separator housing and press screw with highly wear-resistant armouring (70 HRC), make the Torro a strong separator that is easy to maintain.

Design

  • Processing: 2 – 4 m3 per hour
  • Speed range: 30 – 70 rpm
  • Electrical motor: 4 kW (propels the separator and the pump)
  • Frequency-controlled: low energy consumption
  • Maximum extraction height: 5 metres
  • Maximum extraction length: 10 metres

Features Torro

  • Closed system
  • Stainless-steel housing and press screw
  • Easy to maintain
  • More space in the manure pit (approx. 20% more)
  • Targeted use of nutrients from the solid/liquid phase
  • Production of commercial products: separate, dry, pelletise
